Sen. Baucus to hold press conference in Montana for Cobell case

Update: The event has been canceled. Sen. Baucus will remain in Washington on Friday for some votes on the Senate floor.

Sen. Max Baucus (D-Montana) will hold a press conference this Friday to discuss the $3.4 billion settlement to the Indian trust fund lawsuit that cleared Congress this week.

Elouise Cobell, a member of the Blackfeet Nation of Montana who is the lead plaintiff in the case, will join Baucus at the press conference. Other tribal leaders are expected to attend.

The event takes place Friday, December 3, at 10:30am, at the Chamber of Commerce Conference Room, 100 1st Avenue North, in Great Falls.
